There are literally hundreds of factors that contribute to your final rankings. On top of that, it can be hard to determine what kinds of trends Google may associate with your chosen keywords. Google has several bots: Googlebot (desktop), Googlebot (mobile), Googlebot Video, Googlebot Images, Googlebot News. For most websites, the Googlebots for desktop and mobile are the most important bots. The freelance world might disagree with me but frankly I do not think there is not an SEO in the world who can lay claim to having the expertise and experience to deliver, hands-on, every single facet of what makes up contemporary SEO. SEO can be a fuzzy concept that feels like more art than science. Don't let yourself be intimidated; it's easier than you think.
Should I start with a blog?
When you write guest posts for other websites, don’t do it just for the purpose of getting a link in the author bio. Google uses unique variables in Do your mathematical analysis - the primary resources are there for the taking. Its as easy as KS2 Maths or ABC. Its that simple! the local ranking algorithm. However, Google's local algorithm and the organic algorithm are interconnected. Websites with good traditional SEO elements also get better rankings in Google's local results. Write posts on a regular basis. Focus on your industry and on your client’s needs! In time, it will most likely gain authority. Make sure that your content is relevant, useful and well-structured. Google expects pages to load faster so that clients can get the value for their time and resources. If your pages load slowly, the bounce rate will be very high and conversion low.
Ensure that the focus of the post is narrow enough
How relevant is your product page or category page to the search term? This is a huge ranking factor that’s often neglected. Stick to keywords that your products would genuinely satisfy. You’re not foolin’ Google. The structure of your URL can affect both your page’s ranking, but also the user experience. Some of the first things you probably think of with regards to SEO are links. Links are good. We need lots of links to our site, and to our pages, to be successful. This is part of Authority, that sneaky third aspect of SEO. To add to your understanding of links, internal links (or links from your own website) are also incredibly important. They’re how we pass our website’s authority around. And those super nav links? They create links from every single page on the site, to every single other page on the site. Remember that it ’s also highly important for the topics of sites linking to you to match the topic of your site. And this way, you are not only posting on a site you chose in your niche, but you’re also filling it with a directly relevant post.
An interesting and useful copy is no longer enough
Like any good SEO campaign, your optimization strategy should be dictated by your campaign goals. If your top level goals are straight-forward, such as increase revenue, then decide which optimization path is going to be the most effective based on your business. A backlink from a more important page that is high in popularity itself will count more toward a higher ranking for your website. A high authority site will rank much faster than you. We asked an SEO Specialist, Gaz Hall, for his thoughts on the matter: "Subheads are another overlooked SEO tactic and should be used whenever possible. If they consist of valuable keywords that are relevant to the article, they won’t only boost the article’s search value, they’ll also provide your audience with a much-needed mental rest point."
Perform a content review
Search engines are responsible for driving a majority of the traffic. This is because people heavily rely on Google to get information. In 2012, people searched on Google 3.5 billion times per day. We don’t know exactly how many searches are being done today, but you can imagine the number is considerably higher. Find sites that are relevant to your website but are not direct competitors. The more relevant the links, the more valuable it will be and therefore the easier it will be for them to explain why they are linking to your website. Remember, great quality and lengthy content will work best, both for users and search engines. Studies have shown that long content consistently ranks higher than thin content. Consistency is crucial; maintain a regular publishing schedule. People who find what they want on your site are far more likely to funnel through to a landing page and convert, or drive more traffic to your site through various social media and other commendations.
